1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring MI licensure, acute care, and telemetry experience. Details Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Every other weekend required No call or floating requirements Unit manages Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin drips, and initiates pressors for BP management during transport to higher levels of care Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active MI RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred) Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Acute care experience required Med Surg and Telemetry experience required Epic charting experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Must pass telemetry competency test prior to starting on the unit Additional Information Provide direct patient care for Med Surg/Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and respiratory care Skills such as chest tube management, wound care, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration may be utilized Charge nurse experience preferred Epic training completed during orientation Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, to be submitted at time of consideration Former staff members must wait 12 months before returning to the facility First-time travelers may be considered depending on qualifications
