Qualifications:

Current, unrestricted RN license in applicable state Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to document accurately and timely within electronic medical records Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, effective nursing care to Med Surg patients Monitor vital signs and perform assessments to detect changes in a patient's status Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Document all aspects of patient care, clearly and concisely Effectively communicate with physicians, patients, and family members regarding care plans Participate in admission, discharge, and transition-of-care processes Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety standards
