Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Contract Embark on an impactful nursing assignment in Interventional Radiology, working alongside an expert multidisciplinary team. This contract position is best suited for a Registered Nurse with strong critical care, procedural sedation, and IV therapy experience. You'll play a key part in both the procedural workflow and the crucial phases of patient preparation and post-procedural recovery.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shifts: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm or 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Four 9-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) No weekend shifts required on a regular basis Holiday coverage: 1 holiday may be required based on contract duration On-call rotation: 1 night per week, 1 weekend on-call every 4th-5th weekend (subject to department needs)
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program Active RN license, current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, critical care, and procedural sedation Proficiency in managing multiple titratable drips during angiographic and neurointerventional procedures Strong assessment and decision-making skills under pressure
Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for procedures: initiate IV lines, perform blood draws, review medications, and complete pre-procedure checklists Monitor patients closely during sedation and intervention, ensuring all titratable infusions are properly managed Oversee patient recovery post-procedure, assess for complications, and record all care activities with accurate flowsheets Deliver thorough discharge instructions and coordinate ongoing care needs with interdisciplinary teams Maintain safety and adhere to best practices throughout all phases of patient care
