Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN or LPN to join our home health care team providing one-on-one care for an injured patient who receives 24/7 skilled nursing support in a private home setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct bedside nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs Assist with wound care, mobility, and daily living activities as needed Provide tracheostomy care, including suctioning, cleaning, and monitoring airway patency to ensure safe and effective breathing support Perform routine trach tube changes and emergency trach management as needed Ensure proper placement of the tracheostomy tube for effective ventilation during bedtime Administer and monitor enteral (tube) feedings, ensuring proper formula delivery and maintaining feeding tube patency Monitor oxygen saturation levels regularly to ensure adequate ventilation. Adjust ventilator settings based on the patient's respiratory needs if needed Position changes in bed every 2-3 hours Monitor for and promptly address any complications related to the trach or feeding tube Maintain accurate documentation of all care provided Communicate effectively with the care team and family members to ensure continuity of care Respond promptly to any changes in the patient's condition
Requirements:
Active RN or LPN license in the state of Michigan Current CPR certification Prior experience in home health, critical care, or rehabilitation preferred Ability to work independently and provide compassionate, high-quality care Reliable and professional demeanor

12-hour shifts
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
