Barclay Surgery Center is a specialty ambulatory surgery center in Rochester Hills, MI, focused on pain management and neurosurgery. We offer a collaborative, two-OR team environment where every member plays a meaningful role in patient outcomes. This role is scheduled Tuesday-Thursday — no nights, weekends, or holidays High-acuity specialty cases in a focused, efficient outpatient setting Close-knit team with a strong culture of quality and patient experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced OR Circulating Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis (Tuesday-Thursday). In this role, you will serve as the patient advocate and coordinator of the intraoperative environment, ensuring surgical safety, sterile field integrity, and seamless communication across the care team. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity setting where your clinical expertise directly impacts patient outcomes and surgical efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage the intraoperative environment, including patient positioning, safety checks, and sterile field integrity Perform the pre-procedure time-out and verify correct patient, site, and procedure per facility protocol Coordinate instrument and supply needs with the scrub technician throughout each case Document intraoperative events, implant records, medications administered by anesthesia, and any incidents in real time Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and assist with pre-admission telephone (PAT) calls as assigned Communicate case status and patient updates to PACU Enforce infection control, OSHA, and sterile processing standards throughout the surgical suite Assist with room turnover and ensure readiness for subsequent cases Qualifications Active Michigan RN license; BLS and ACLS certification required Minimum 2 years OR circulating experience; ASC experience strongly preferred Familiarity with pain management or neurosurgery procedures a plus CNOR certification preferred but not required Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and intraoperative documentation Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, two-OR outpatient setting Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to remain calm and focused under pressure Compensation Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Predictable Tuesday-Thursday schedule with no on-call requirements. This is a part-time position and does not include benefits.
