Job Description
About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of Work The Specialty Nurse is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of specialized cardiovascular programs, with an initial focus on the Resistant Hypertension, Prevention and Renal Denervation Clinics. This role serves as a clinical resource for patients, providers, and multidisciplinary team members while coordinating care across the continuum to improve patient outcomes and access to specialty services. The Specialty Nurse will assist in identifying, triaging, and managing patients who may benefit from advanced hypertension interventions, while also evaluating and coordinating referrals to preventive cardiology services. The position requires flexibility to support additional specialty programs within the department and provide cross-coverage during periods of staff absence, including vacations, PTO, and leaves of absence. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD) required from an NLN approved school of nursing 3 years of recent relevant acute care nursing experience, required State of Michigan Registered Nurse license, required AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification, required Specialty certification, required within 1 year of hire How Corewell Health cares for you Comprehensive benefits package to meet your financial, health, and work/life balance goals.
