A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

•Union position (posted in accordance with article 20) This position would coordinate all MDS Assessments and Care Plans for the Evergreen Living Center, including but not limited to: Coordinate all clinical MDS assessments for all Evergreen residents Work with department heads to ensure appropriate sections are being completed timely and accurately Create and distribute assessment schedule to appropriate staff Coordinates completion, updates, and changes to all resident care plans Participate in all resident care plan meetings and document meeting summary in resident medical record Work closely with CNA's to ensure documentation is being completed accurately, educate and assist as needed. Serve as a member of the nursing leadership team including participating in on call rotations plus works one weekend per month. Assist facility with other projects and responsibilities as needed This position could be either 5 8-hour shifts per week, or 4 10-hour shifts per week. This position requires a RN license. The position requires flexibility, ability to work independently and meet timelines, strong focus on customer service, and an excellent attendance record. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, good time management skills, and is passionate about serving our elders and being a member of a team. Prior experience in MDS is preferred but we are willing to train the right person! Interested candidates should submit their resume to Human Resources.
