Orientation to both Outpatient and Inpatient/Inhouse Screening is required for this position. Responsibilities include obtaining a comprehensive health history via phone interview for all patients requiring Anesthesia for scheduled procedures. Interprets need for and obtains necessary documentation of peri-operative testing. Up to date computer skills to allow for extensive documentation in the EPIC Electronic Health Record, communication to physicians/staff via Phone, Email and Fax. Consultation with Anesthesiologist Staff for case review may be necessary for completion prior to day of procedure. Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills are essential. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work Responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of an assigned group of patients. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Uses clinical judgment skills while conducting appropriate nursing aspects during the patient assessment to treat the patient's responses to actual or potential health conditions. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and / or medical treatment.
