A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Schedule details:
Multiple shifts available, including nights, days, and mid-shifts 12-hour shifts, three days a week Typical shift example: 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.Qualifications:
Current and active RN license in good standing At least one year of recent nursing experience in a Medical Surgical (Med Surg) setting Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing documentation Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Excellent communication and patient education skillsResponsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care for adult Med Surg patients following best practices and hospital protocols Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs, medical histories, and care interventions Administer medications, therapies, and treatments as prescribed Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and their families on treatments, procedures, and ongoing care needs Maintain accurate and timely records to ensure continuity of care and patient safety This contract assignment offers a rewarding professional experience within a respected clinical team.
