Hospice RN Bellevue Hospice Sterling Heights, MI Job Details Part-time | Per diem From $40 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications RN License Hospice care Trauma medicine Occupational health Full Job Description Bellevue Hospice is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide exceptional end-of-life care to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and other care settings. You will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive comfort, dignity, and support while guiding families through the hospice journey. Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care focused on pain management, symptom control, and patient comfort. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and other interdisciplinary team members. Educate patients and families regarding disease progression, medications, symptom management, and end-of-life care. Administer medications, treatments, wound care, and catheter care as ordered. Monitor patient condition and promptly communicate significant changes to the hospice team and physician. Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare, state, and hospice regulations. Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and care planning. Provide on-call support as assigned. Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Qualifications Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of one year of nursing experience required. Hospice, home health, palliative care, oncology, geriatrics, or skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. Knowledge of Medicare hospice regulations and ICD-10 documentation is a plus.
