Make a Difference in Public Health District Health Department No. 2 is seeking a compassionate and skilled Public Health Nurse (RN) to provide essential nursing services across a variety of public health programs, with a current focus on the Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP). In this role, you will deliver client-centered assessment, care, education, and prevention services to individuals and families in clinics, home, and community settings. Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Deliver services in clinic, home, and community settings, including caring for pregnant individuals and infants under the age of one and their families.
• Provide health education, counseling, and support to clients and families
• Assist clients in accessing healthcare and community resources
• Collaborate with internal teams, healthcare providers, and community partners
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards
• Participate in outreach, training, and community health initiatives
• Regular travel within the service area

What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
• Reliable transportation; and valid Michigan driver's license and proof of insurance (if driving for work)

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• One (1) year of practical experience working with pregnant individuals, infants and children and/or in public health.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position primarily works in clinic and office settings, with travel to community locations.

Responsibilities may include:

• Standing, bending, and moving throughout clinic or home environments
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens (Category A) with full OSHA-compliant protections in place
