Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Bring your nursing expertise to a unique, rewarding setting—supporting students in their educational journey. We are searching for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide one-on-one care for a student commuting from Buffalo to Monticello Middle School. This contract role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to build meaningful connections in a school environment. Your schedule will follow the local school district's calendar, working weekdays from approximately 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. On-site school hours are 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and you'll accompany the student on the bus to and from their home in Buffalo—an approximately 20-minute commute each way.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active RN or LPN/LVN license in Minnesota Experience with tube feeding and oxygen management, including monitoring $O_2$ saturations and administering oxygen as needed Skilled in medication administration Comfortable using a Hoyer lift and stander (training provided on specific equipment) Homecare experience is a plus, but not necessary Adaptable, compassionate, and able to support both students and families

Providing expert, individualized nursing care in a school and transportation setting Monitoring and managing medical needs such as tube feeds, oxygen, and medications Acting as a reassuring presence throughout the school day and commute Collaborating with school staff and family to ensure continuity of care There's also an opportunity to support a second student with similar needs on Mondays at the high school level, offering an extra day to make a difference for another family.
