Job Description
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active RN or LPN/LVN license, with school-based or pediatric experience preferred Proficient in tube feeding procedures Confident in oxygen management, including monitoring O₂ saturations and administering supplemental oxygen as necessary Experienced in medication administration Familiarity and comfort with using Hoyer lifts and standers (specific equipment training provided) Homecare experience is a plus, but not essential Reliable, with excellent communication skills and a caring, student-centered mindsetRole Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to a student, including during bus commutes between Buffalo and the school (about 20 minutes each way) Maintain close oversight of feeding, respiratory, and mobility needs throughout the school day (onsite 9:30 AM-12:30 PM, schedule 9:00 AM-1:00 PM following the Monticello District calendar) Deliver medication and monitor for any health concerns Foster a positive, inclusive environment both on the bus and at school Maintain documentation and clear communication with families and school staff There is also a need to support a high school student in a similar capacity on Mondays only, presenting an excellent opportunity for those seeking additional hours.
