A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

  • Implement and coordinate the delivery of care in collaboration with client physicians and other health professionals.
  • Perform assessments, care planning evaluations and cares of residents.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding nursing care, care plans and observations
  • Provide functional direction and assistance to care staff and complete new staff orientation as assigned.
  • Medication Administration:
    Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration. Observes, documents and reports client responses to medications.
  • Maintain policies and procedures implemented by care agency.
  • Supervises the delivery of care, education of the staff, and ensures the smooth operation of care procedures in the facility.
Required skills and qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school Current registered nurse in the state of practice Geriatric nursing experience preferred, but not required Commitment to hospitality, service, and excellence in senior care Must be able to work in team environment and have excellent interpersonal skills Must enjoy working with the senior population

Up to $85,000.00 per year
