Description:

Responsible for providing program-wide nursing care for Preschool- Elementary age students during programming hours.

Job Summary:

Review students in program to identify health needs as well as health plans and medication authorization. Communicate with parents and meet as needed to clarify health needs and get directions for care (i.e. medications and health plans). Verify medication expiration dates and ensure medication labeling is consistent with medication orders. Train staff to provide prompt medical attention to illnesses and injuries of students as well as emergency protocols and procedures. Train and assist staff in health plan implementation in RN absence and for off site field trips. Ensure proper documentation of student medications and treatments to be administered during programming hours. Ensure proper first aid supplies and equipment are stocked. Make site visits to EdVenture Club locations as directed by supervisor. May need to fill on-call status as needed.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse certification required. Current CPR certification. Experienced RN with medical care including medication administration, ongoing and emergency health care required. Skilled in health and medical assessment for student's needs.
