1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring MedSurg floating and C-section prepping experience. Details Critical Access Hospital setting in the L&D unit with 4 beds plus 2 overflow Unit averages 8 to 15 births per month Primary responsibility in L&D with required postpartum, nursery, and mother-baby couplet care Floating required to Medical/Surgical unit with an assignment of 3-4 (possibly 5) patients on night shifts Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor and 1:3-4 for triage Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am Weekend requirement of every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) No on-call requirements Uses Epic EMR Floor-specific orientation of 2-3 shifts depending on comfort level Requirements Active MN RN license required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring C-section experience required, including comfort with prepping (assisting not required, but responsible for baby post-delivery) BSN not required for this position Additional Information Provide labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery, and mother-baby couplet care Take patient assignments on Medical/Surgical unit as needed Holiday coverage required approximately every third holiday, rotating with permanent staff Scrubs may be any color or pattern but must be clean and in good condition Facility may cancel shifts up to 2 times every 6 weeks due to fluctuating census
