1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a critical access hospital Emergency Department role requiring 2 years of ER and MS experience and a MN state license. Details Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department in a critical access hospital setting 89 staffed beds facility 3x12 shifts, Day (0700-1930) or Night (1900-0730), flexible scheduling Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend No on-call requirements Patient ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:6 on nights Float within scope required to meet facility needs Epic charting system used Requirements Active or pending Minnesota RN license required (MN is not a Compact state) Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience and 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience required OB experience preferred Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required Triage skills preferred Community hospital experience preferred Prior charge experience preferred Additional Information Care for combined adult and pediatric emergency patients in a fast-paced ED environment Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility Black scrubs required for RNs First-time travelers are welcome to apply Not open to candidates living within 25 miles of the facility Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at time of consideration Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting must be completed in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency Required lab work and fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing to avoid cancellation
