Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity awaits a skilled and compassionate RN or LPN/LVN to provide 1:1 private duty nursing support for a student commuting from Buffalo, MN to Monticello Middle School. This contract position offers a fulfilling blend of school-based nursing and direct impact on a student's daily life.
Work Schedule & Setting:
Monday-Friday, approximately 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, following the Monticello District calendar In-school hours: 9:30 AM - 12:30
PM Commute:
Ride the bus with the student both to and from school (20 minutes each way) Additional coverage needed for Mondays only with a high school student in a similar arrangement
Key Qualifications:
Valid RN or LPN/LVN license School nursing or previous pediatric experience highly valued Strong proficiency with tube feeding and medication administration Capable of monitoring oxygen saturations; able to apply oxygen as indicated Confidence and skill in using a Hoyer lift and stander (training provided for unique student equipment) Homecare work is a plus, but not mandatory Ability to develop rapport with students and collaborate with school staff

Provide attentive, compassionate care and ensure safety during school and transit Monitor respiratory status, manage oxygen, and respond promptly to student needs Administer medications and tube feedings according to care plan Support student's mobility needs, including safe transfers and proper equipment use Maintain clear, timely communication with family and school personnel Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule that allows you to make a real difference, work closely with a student, and foster positive relationships in a supportive school environment.
