Registered Nurse/ LSN/ PHN 60 hours per year and up to 15 days as substitute as needed 6:30a-2:30p M-F as scheduled $40.00/ hour
Job Summary:
The
RN/ LSN/ PHN
will provide oversight and support to the KCS Health Clerk including but not limited to medication management, staff training and health care planning. The
RN/ LSN/ PHN
will substitute for the Health Clerk as needed for field trips or on site.
Qualifications:
Licensed School Nurse (LSN); or Public Health Nurse (PHN); or Registered Nurse (RN).
Duties/Responsibilities:
Delegate tasks to the Health Clerk, provide appropriate training and supervision. Assessing the health needs of students accordingly. Oversight and development of student health plans Training of school staff on the implementation of student health plans Provide needed consultation for IEP development Coordinate hearing and vision screening Sub for the health clerk when absent or when there is a need for a medical staff member to go on a field trip
Hours/Service:
Approximately 50-60 hours per year performing consultation and on-site duties. Can be scheduled in advance with the health clerk and office staff Majority of training work to be completed the week before school starts or in the first few weeks of the school year (some training throughout the year as needed) Consultation could also be done remotely via phone, email, or conference call Subbing above and beyond the anticipated contracted hours would be as needed, but could be approximately 10-15 days throughout the school year (hours 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
