1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring two years of Peds CVS ICU experience and an active MN RN license. Details 13-week assignment in a highly specialized Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery ICU providing advanced postoperative care Day/Night rotation with 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and 1900-0730) 36 hours per week over 3 days Every 3rd weekend required Floating required as needed to other areas within the Children's Center, including NICU and General Pediatric care areas Uses Epic EMR for charting Facility retains option to call off or cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census Requirements Active MN RN license required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross) Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required 6 months of previous travel experience required, 1 year strongly preferred Strong cardiac monitoring skills required Central/Arterial line management experience required Pacemaker management experience required Heart transplant experience preferred ECMO experience a plus but not required Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) or equivalent RN experience ECG exam required during orientation Additional Information Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care Function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and resource availability On-site work required with no teleworking option COVID vaccination and booster required for consideration Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a 30-60 day break prior to returning to a new assignment
