For 38 years, Southeast Seniors has provided individualized services and connections that help older adults remain independent, connected, and engaged in their communities. Southeast Seniors is seeking a Footcare Nurse to provide routine in-home footcare services to older adults in Southeast and Northeast Minneapolis. This is a flexible, paid independent-contractor opportunity. A nursing background is especially valuable in serving older adults with health conditions, including diabetes, that may require additional attention when providing routine footcare. Role of the Footcare Nurse The Footcare Nurse provides routine footcare in clients' homes, helping older adults maintain foot health, comfort, and independence. Services may include assessment of foot and nail health, nail trimming and thinning, reduction of corns and calluses, care of dry skin and cuticles, moisturizing, and other appropriate routine footcare. Responsibilities Provide safe, professional, and respectful in-home footcare to Southeast Seniors clients. Schedule appointments directly with clients and confirm appointments in advance. Document services and relevant client notes in the Southeast Seniors client database. Communicate with Southeast Seniors staff regarding client needs or concerns. Maintain client confidentiality and follow applicable professional standards and requirements. Qualifications Current Minnesota nursing license (RN or LPN) Any certification or training required to provide footcare services in Minnesota Experience or interest in working with older adults Knowledge of footcare needs of older adults, including individuals with health conditions that may affect foot health Ability to travel to clients' homes in Southeast and Northeast Minneapolis Appropriate professional liability insurance Ability to successfully complete a background check Most importantly - we are looking for someone who enjoys working with older adults and can provide skilled, compassionate footcare that helps clients remain comfortable and independent at home. Schedule This is a flexible independent-contractor position. The Footcare Nurse schedules appointments directly with Southeast Seniors clients and invoices Southeast Seniors for services provided.
