Key Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted RN license in the state Previous experience as a School RN or in a school-based clinical role preferred Strong assessment and triage skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations Current CPR/BLS certification Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, parents, and staff Comfortable maintaining accurate electronic health records and confidential documentation Willingness to handle diverse student health needs, including chronic disease management, medication administration, health screenings, and emergency response

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and address daily health concerns, injuries, and illnesses among students and staff Administer prescribed medications and treatments following established school guidelines Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) Conduct health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, and maintain up-to-date immunization records Act as a health resource for staff, providing education and guidance on wellness and safety topics Respond swiftly and effectively to health emergencies Participate in educational meetings and collaborate with educators and counselors to support student success
