As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, suturing, and wound care while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient responses to interventions in critical care environments such as ICU or trauma centers, utilizing physiology knowledge and critical response procedures. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans that incorporate pain management, medication administration, and diagnostic evaluations. Conduct triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room settings to prioritize patient needs effectively. Assist with specialized procedures including catheterization, dialysis management, gastrostomy tube feeding, and ventilator support. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards and ICD coding requirements. Provide education and health coaching to patients and families on disease management, medication use, and post-discharge care plans. Requirements Valid registered nursing license (RN) in the relevant state or country with current certification. Proven experience working within hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, or trauma medicine environments; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic; familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is preferred. Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and laboratory specimen collection/processing. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex chronic conditions such as dementia or developmental disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control practices and advanced patient assessment techniques. Ability to handle acute pain management cases effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Critical care experience including ventilator management and neonatal resuscitation procedures is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments such as hospital settings or outpatient clinics.
