A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Job Description

C.R.N.A. Responsibilities include selecting and administering anesthesia to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room, outside the operating room, and in the obstetric department. Expectations will be consistent with the current scope of practice for CRNAs at GVMH including airway management, designated procedures, complete history and pertinent physical exams, and administering anesthesia in a full-service anesthesia department in accordance with hospital policy and procedures. Excellent attitude and personal skills. Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentials of this job. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS, LICENSES, and
CERTIFICATIONS
Graduate of accredited School of Nursing Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program Current Missouri RN license in good standing Board certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Current PALS certification
DESIRED:
Recent pediatric experience, especially ENT procedures Experience work unsupervised by an anesthesiologist Full-time Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm, and/or equally divided call time outside these hours, holidays, and weekends.
