Seeking a qualified Solid Tumor Medical Oncologist / Hematology-Oncology Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a healthcare facility in Columbia, Missouri. The provider will support outpatient adult oncology services with a focus on solid tumor oncology, including lung, gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), and thoracic oncology. The ideal candidate will provide consistent weekly clinic coverage, collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and oncology support staff, and deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with facility standards.

                              Requirements:
                              • MD/DO.
                              • Active and unrestricted medical license; Missouri license preferred.
                              • Board Certified (ABMS/AOA) in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology preferred; fellowship-trained qualified candidates may be considered.
                              • Strong clinical experience in solid tumor oncology, with a focus on lung, GI, GU, and/or thoracic cancers.
                              Responsibilities:
                              • Provide outpatient medical oncology coverage for adult patients in a clinic-based setting.
                              • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with solid tumor malignancies, including lung, GI, GU, and thoracic cancers.
                              • Provide follow-up visits, treatment planning, symptom management, and ongoing disease management for scheduled oncology patients.
                              • Review labs, imaging, pathology, treatment history, and other clinical information to support patient care decisions.
                              • Coordinate chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care plans in collaboration with oncology nursing and APP staff.
                              • Participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary care coordination as needed.
                              • Collaborate with attending physicians, APPs, RNs, LPNs, care team members, radiation oncology, and other specialists.
                              • Provide clinical guidance and oversight to APPs, residents/fellows, or other healthcare providers as required.
                              • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in Cerner/PowerChart.
                              • Communicate treatment recommendations clearly to patients, families, and the care team.
                              • Support continuity of care during the coverage period.
                              • Comply with facility policies, clinical protocols, credentialing standards, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
                              • Perform other related duties as assigned.
