Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders, including IV infusions and catheter care. Manage complex clinical procedures such as tube feeding, wound suturing, and airway management with precision and aseptic technique. Document patient information meticulously using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning, case management strategies, and individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, pediatric patients, and those requiring hospice or palliative care. Respond promptly to urgent situations such as acute pain episodes, trauma cases in Level I or Level II trauma centers, or emergency room scenarios involving critical care or infectious disease management. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice. Proven experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or emergency medicine), nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and clinical procedures including venipuncture and catheterization. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, specimen collection/processing, and medication administration safely. Critical care experience preferred—especially ICU or trauma center exposure—and familiarity with advanced procedures such as ventilator management or spinal taps. Excellent caregiver communication skills with the ability to educate patients and families effectively about treatment plans and health coaching strategies. Knowledge of long-term care regulations, dementia care practices—including Alzheimer's and memory care—and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly desirable.
