Nurse - First Assistant 40 hours per week, Days Mercy Hospital Jefferson Festus, MO 63028 Make a direct impact in the OR—every case, every day. We're seeking an experienced, motivated Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team where expertise and teamwork truly matter. In this role, you'll work side‑by‑side with surgeons to provide exceptional perioperative care, using advanced clinical skills to support patients before, during, and after surgery. Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Licensure:
Active RN licensure in the state of practice.Experience:
Must have a minimum of perioperative nursing experience.Certifications:
CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer.BLS/ACLS
required within first year.Other:
Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.Preferred:
CNOR Certification.Physical Requirements:
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
