Job Description

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Local Emergency Room RN in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, fast-paced emergency care, from triage through discharge, for diverse patient populations. You will assess and stabilize critical patients, administer medications and IV therapies, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and ensure accurate documentation. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to emergency room patients in a fast-paced acute care setting Triage patients, perform assessments, and document symptoms, vitals, and medical histories accurately Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols Monitor patient status, respond rapidly to changes, and initiate emergency interventions as needed Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and follow all compliance and safety standards Participate in quality improvement, infection control, and best-practice initiatives within the ER Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage assessment IV insertion and therapy Medication administration Cardiac monitoring ACLS protocols PALS or TNCC protocols Electronic health records (EHR) Wound care and suturing assistance Infection control procedures
