1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Skilled Nursing Facility Med/Surg unit, requiring 2 years of recent specialty experience and a KS/MO or compact license in hand. Details SNF/LTC facility setting, night shift (3x12), Thu/Sat/Sun schedule, 18:45-7:15 Patient ratio of 1:5 with an average daily census of 56 No weekend requirement beyond the assigned schedule No on-call requirements May float within scope to meet facility needs across departments, units and facilities as needed Charting completed in EPIC Requirements Active RN license, both Kansas and Missouri or compact license in hand at time of consideration BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience, with a full year in-specialty within the past 12 months and no employment gap greater than 90 days Skilled in wound care, ostomy/incontinence management, diabetes management, IV/IM/SQ medication administration, central line (PICC) care, and pressure ulcer prevention/staging Experience with fall prevention, infection control/PPE, and pain assessment/management EPIC charting experience preferred 2 professional references required, one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN, both from within the past year SSN and finalized RTO/scheduling requests required at time of consideration Additional Information Provide skilled nursing care to a long-term care/rehabilitation patient population Perform assessments including blood pressure, peripheral pulses, bowel sounds, lung sounds, and skin/wound status Administer medications via oral, IM, SQ, IV, rectal, and inhaled routes and monitor for effects Support admission, discharge, and emergency procedures per facility protocols First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility Maximum of 7 days RTO, which must be finalized at time of consideration with no additional requests after offer or onsite Returning staff must have a 3-month break in service after 18 months of prior service; former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment Complete required infusion pump and glucometer training prior to start Free parking available on site
