What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Practice Details:
- 20% Inpatient, 80% Outpatient
- Fully equipped lab, pharmacy, and outpatient infusion center onsite
- Access to Wound Vacs, cellular tissue products, and Moleculight imaging
- Provide expert care through travel to local nursing homes
- Assist with wound care management for patients on the medical surgical floor
NP Requirements:
- Successful completion of an APRN master's nursing degree or graduate of accredited PA program
- Current Missouri license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure
- Current DEA licensure
- Current wound certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals
- Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments with the ability to develop appropriate care plans, modifying as indicated
