An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse interested in supporting students in an elementary school setting, located within reach of Union, MO or Fenton, MO. This contract position centers on delivering essential care to a medically fragile young learner. Your nursing expertise will make a meaningful difference for an individual student during the critical morning hours, with the flexibility to expand to a full-time para-nurse role if desired.

What We're Looking For:

Valid RN license in the state of Missouri Experience in pediatric care, school nursing, or working one-on-one with medically fragile students is strongly preferred Open to serving as a paraprofessional in addition to providing nursing care (optional for full-time status) Ability to collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and parents Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the unique needs of elementary students Strong organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as a 1:1 nurse for a medically fragile elementary student for the first half of the school day Monitor, administer, and document necessary medical care and interventions Work closely with educational staff to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for the student Adjust care as directed by healthcare plans and in collaboration with family and clinical providers Uphold highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism throughout the school year This assignment is scheduled to begin August 24 and continues throughout the school year, offering a deeply rewarding opportunity to provide direct support where it matters most.
