1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care assignment, requiring 1+ years of PTA experience and LTC/Rehab setting background. Details Long Term Care facility setting within the Physical Therapy unit Patient caseload typically ranges from 7-12 patients depending on case mix Treatment times average ~1hr for Medicare B and 30-35 min for Medicare A and Managed Care Group therapy sessions are utilized at the facility Each therapist typically has a dedicated device for documentation Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Start times flexible between 6AM and 10AM as long as consistent and communicated with DOR No weekend work required unless a holiday falls within the M-F schedule, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend No on-call requirements Compact license accepted Requirements Active PTA license required if applicable Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required LTC or Rehab setting experience required One professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plans Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehab meetings Support and supervise students under PT guidance as needed Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards No more than 7 days of requested RTO
