Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Tele Job Type Travel Support cardiac patients' recovery and well-being as a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry at a high-acuity medical center known for exceptional heart care and advanced trauma services. This travel opportunity offers a chance to deliver expert nursing care on the Cardiac Med 4A unit, working night shifts with 36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly over a 13-week assignment in the Springfield, MO area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients using thorough assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications with precision, demonstrating competence in cardiac drug titration.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care.
  • Utilize telemetry and advanced medical equipment including Alaris pumps.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards aligned with regulatory and facility guidelines.
  • Participate in rotational float assignments as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri.
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Tele nursing experience.
  • BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS preferred.
  • NIHSS certification must be obtained before starting or submitted prior.
  • Trauma credits (4) completed or plan to complete within two weeks of start.
  • Ability to work night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM), weekends as needed.
  • Comfortable with patient handling and physical demands including lifting assistance.
