CVICU RN
for an assignment in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you'll provide critical care to post-cardiac surgery and CVICU patients, perform continuous assessment, manage ventilators and vasoactive drips, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond to emergencies. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, follow evidence-based protocols, educate patients and families, and accurately document all care. Responsibilities Provide high-acuity nursing care to CVICU and post-cardiac surgery patients Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to treatment Manage ventilators, vasoactive infusions, and complex cardiac drips Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to clinical changes and emergencies Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team on care plans Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate EMR documentation and follow hospital and unit protocols Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards Support a culture of respect, integrity, and clinical excellence as a Gifted Healthcare traveler Required Skills Cardiovascular ICU nursing Hemodynamic monitoring Vasoactive drip titration Ventilator management Cardiac rhythm interpretation Post-cardiac surgery care Central line and arterial line management ACLS-certified emergency response Electronic medical record documentation Patient and family education
