Will perform and coordinates nursing care to patients in multiple specialized nursing units as assigned on a daily basis according to standards. May cover extended leaves of absence and/or excessive vacancies. Opportunities may include the ability to work from 2 to 6 weeks on a unit then rotate to another unit. Will work under the supervision of a Director and Associate Director. May assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise individual patient care according to standards. Will accept responsibility for direction of fellow caregivers in the implementation of plans of care. May be required to work on multiple units including Medical/Surgical, Orthopedic, Oncology, Overflow, Behavioral Annex, Rapid Observation, and Step-Down. Will provide exceptional service to all patients, visitors plus external and internal customers. Skills and Abilities Essential Technical/Motor Skills- Must possess gross and fine motor abilities sufficient to provide safe and effective general and emergency nursing care. - Displays a friendly, positive attitude and communicates with patients, families, visitors, providers and other caregivers in a professional manner.
- Must be able to communicate with patient in order to assess condition and evaluate effects of care.
- Has the emotional intelligence necessary to manage the emotions of self and assigned patients.
- Possess the ability to be flexible to adapt to needs of patient centered care. Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, move, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift.
- Ability to utilize clear, effective speech when communicating with patients, families, and the health care team Possess full manual dexterity of upper extremities, including neck and shoulders.
- Possess unrestricted movement of lower extremities, back and hips.
- Possess ability to touch the floor to remove environmental hazards.
- Ability to lift and/or support to safely transfer, ambulate, and reposition patient.

- Ability to collect thorough information regarding patient's condition and evaluate effects of care.
- Possess ability to problem solve, manipulate numbers, interpret data, perform calculations, comprehend, understand, explain, assess, evaluate, plus good short term and long term memory. Essential Sensory Requirements
- Ability to make visual observations of patients status.
- Ability to hear spoken verbal communication from others, hear sounds used for patient assessment such as breath sounds, blood pressure, apical pulse, and others that would indicate changes in the patient's physiological status.
- The ability to sufficiently access patient pulses, monitor patient skin temperature, assess for edema and other important signs of changes in patient's physiological status.
- The ability to detect odors that indicate changes in the patient's physiological status.
- The ability to read and comprehend patient care documentation and policies.
- The ability to write in legible documentation style which is readable in the English language. Exposure to Hazards
