Overview:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Position Details:
Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends. Full time or part time
Incentives:
New Grad $5,000 Sign-on bonus for nightshift only 1-2 years' RN experience Sign-on bonus $13,000 for nightshift only 3-4 years' RN experience Sign-on bonus $15,000 for nightshift only 5+ years' RN experience Sign-on bonus $20,000 for nightshift only

Weekend Option Days:

Employer-Matched Retirement Funds Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Licensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
Physical requirements/demands:
Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

This environment provides a strong foundation in nursing and clinical skills. The unit serves the medical surgical population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases. The types of patients we serve are those with multi-system management needs such as infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions, and post-surgical patients. We also coordinate management of patients needing surgical interventions, EGD, colonoscopy, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies. Why Mercy?
