Job Summary
FULL-TIME
Registered Nurse in a cardiovascular/cardiology clinic.
Expected work hours:
Monday-Thursday 7:45 am-5 pm with lunch 12-1 pm and on Friday 7:45 am-noon •
MUST PASS A DRUG SCREENING TEST AND A BACKGROUND CHECK TO BE ELLIGABLE FOR HIRE
•Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and EKGs. Coordinate patient care activities including discharge planning, case management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless treatment continuity. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner, adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Assist in diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpreting results to support clinical decision-making. Provide education on health coaching, medication administration, post-operative care, and disease management tailored to individual patient needs. Support specialized care areas including geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, pediatrics, and memory care environments. Engage in infection control practices and maintain sterile processing standards to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Respond effectively during emergencies by managing airway issues, ventilator support, or trauma situations in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Experience Valid Registered Nurse license with current state certification. Proven experience in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency room, hospital medicine, or cardiology is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic and Athena Health platforms. Experience working with cardiology patients. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and medical documentation standards is essential. Familiarity with specialized nursing areas such as cardiology (catheterization) or post-acute care environments enhances your candidacy. Up to $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
