Description:
RN/OB Nurse Mon - Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments, including obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as ordered by providers Provide education to patients on pregnancy, nutrition, breastfeeding, postpartum care, and newborn care Assist healthcare providers during OB, gynecologic, and women's health examinations and procedures, including prenatal, postpartum, and family planning visits Monitor fetal heart tones and perform routine prenatal assessments as directed Coordinate laboratory testing, ultrasounds, referrals, and follow-up appointments Support high-risk pregnancy management in collaboration with specialists Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and manage clinic supplies Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid nursing license (RN) with relevant obstetrics and gynecology experience preferred Strong knowledge of maternal and women's health, prenatal, and postpartum care Excellent communication and patient education skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency in EMR systems and documentation standards Compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-oriented mindset Ability to support high-risk pregnancies and collaborate with specialists We foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Requirements:
Current Mississippi RN license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current BLS certification. Minimum one year of nursing experience required. OB/Women's Health experience preferred. EMR proficiency required. Knowledge of nursing standards of care, prenatal and postpartum healthcare needs, strong communication skills, patient-centered care, teamwork, and organizational skills.
