Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Contract Step into a vital nursing role providing top-tier care in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting. This contract position offers the chance to utilize your expertise as an RN on a dynamic team, managing diverse patient populations that include medical, orthopedic, general surgery, gastrointestinal, telemetry, and stepdown cases.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week contract Rotating night shifts, alternating between: Rotation 1: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Thurs, Fri Rotation 2:
Wed, Thurs, Fri, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues Qualifications:
Active RN license for the state of Mississippi Current BLS certification Minimum of 3 years' Med Surg nursing experience required Prior proficiency with EPIC electronic health record systems Ability to confidently manage a patient load of 5-7, including several total care patients Exceptional clinical judgment and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive, compassionate care for a variety of adult patients within a busy medical-surgical unit Monitor and document patient status, administer medications, and implement care plans with precision Triage and respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions, utilizing telemetry and stepdown protocols as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate, timely charting in EPIC and comply with facility standards Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced staff as needed Experience the professional satisfaction of working in a setting where your skills make an immediate impact.
