Great Falls, Montana We have partnered closely with a premier hospital organization dedicated to becoming Montana's healthcare provider of choice, serving over 250,000 residents across 17 regional counties. We are currently seeking a full-time, dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) to join their team. Boasting exceptional nurse-to-patient ratios that allow for deeply personalized care, this facility fosters a tight-knit culture of teamwork, safety, and modern medical technology.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, direct clinical care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients requiring advanced physiological monitoring from admission through discharge. Manage and operate advanced cardiac and life-support equipment, including mechanical ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, multiple titration IV pumps, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). Monitor and manage patients utilizing advanced cardiac assist devices, such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella pumps. Serve as a clinical leader on the floor, providing direction and collaborative support to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary hospital staff. Collaborate closely with Providers, Charge Nurses, and nurse leadership to implement evidence-based care plans and thorough discharge planning. Maintain meticulous, timely electronic documentation of patient status, interventions, and clinical outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Montana (or immediate compact/endorsement eligibility).
Certifications:
Core certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire. EPNC and TNCC certifications are highly preferred.
Required Experience:
Proven post-graduate clinical practice in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit coupled with recent Critical Care/ICU nursing experience specifically involving cardiovascular surgery patients.
Preferred Experience:
1 to 2 years of dedicated Cardiac Surgical ICU experience is strongly preferred. Hands-on clinical familiarity with Impella pumps, cardiac balloon pumps, and CRRT equipment is highly desired.
Soft Skills:
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Compensation & Hiring Requirements:
Final hourly compensation will be verified and determined by the organization based on your documented years of nursing experience. All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of standard pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check, drug screening, and health/immunization verification.
