Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment as a Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a critical difference in patients' post-operative recovery alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid, unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year of recent PACU experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong assessment skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues Proficiency with electronic medical records preferred
Responsibilities:
Monitor patients' vital signs and level of consciousness post-surgery Manage pain control, administer medications, and assess patient recovery from anesthesia Respond rapidly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions Educate patients and family members on post-operative care, discharge plans, and recovery processes Collaborate with surgical teams and anesthesia providers for coordinated patient care Document accurate and timely nursing records according to facility protocols
