Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Endoscopy Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by supporting a dynamic team in a high-acuity endoscopy/GI lab environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a busy, regional referral center, collaborating with expert clinicians and providing care to diverse patient populations.
Schedule/Hours:
Variable shifts Includes 4 weeknight call rotations and 3 weekend calls within a 6-week period
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current, unencumbered RN license Prior experience in Endoscopy/GI Lab required Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent or emergent situations Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to fulfill night and weekend call responsibilities as scheduled
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced endoscopy setting Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and ancillary staff to facilitate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Monitor patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures Administer sedation and other medications safely in accordance with protocols Document care, assessments, and interventions accurately in patient records Provide pre- and post-procedure education and support to patients and their families Participate in on-call rotation for procedural coverage during evenings and weekends
