Mission Health in Asheville, NC seeks a Registered Nurse Wound Care for inpatient services. In this role, you'll deliver specialized wound and skin care, complete detailed assessments, and implement evidence-based treatment plans. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and the care team, educate patients and families, and support hospital-wide pressure injury prevention. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient wound care assessment, treatment, and follow-up for diverse patient populations. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based wound care plans. Perform and document wound assessments, debridement (as permitted), dressing changes, and preventative skin care measures. Educate patients and families on wound care management, prevention, and discharge instructions. Monitor patient progress, recognize complications or infection, and escalate concerns promptly. Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and comply with hospital and regulatory documentation standards. Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and pressure injury reduction initiatives. Precept and support nursing staff on best practices in wound and skin integrity management.
