• Medical Surgical / Neuro Location Wilmington, NC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM
• 7:15 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | 13-26 week contracts considered Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a dedicated Neuro unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio Utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication Float to other units within or near the facility as needed Work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holidays Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments; contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters Complete a 24-hour unit orientation prior to independent practice Required Qualifications Active RN license•NC state or Compact license (pending licensure accepted for submission) BLS certification required ACLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Neuro nursing experience required Must pass EKG testing prior to start Must be available to work holidays; no more than 7 days of requested time off per contract Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply; a local pay rate will apply Preferred Experience / Skills NIHSS certification preferred Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers are accepted Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records Why Join Us Longer contract durations (up to 26 weeks) may be available, offering extended stability in a specialized Neuro setting Travel pairs are permitted, allowing clinicians to work at the same facility as a partner (on separate units) Apply For This Job
