Job Description

Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides perioperative nursing care during a 13‑week travel assignment in the North Carolina area. The role supports surgical teams by ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. Nurses work flexible shifts to deliver high‑quality surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient‑centered perioperative nursing care within the operating room environment, adhering to facility policies and procedures. Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare the operating room, ensure sterile techniques, and assist during surgical procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, surgical procedures, and post‑operative care activities. Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions during surgery. Execute safety protocols and ensure compliance with infection control standards to promote patient and staff safety.
Qualifications:
Valid Nursing License (RN) from the state of North Carolina or equivalent license recognized nationally. BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications as required per facility standards. Minimum of 1 year of recent operating room or perioperative nursing experience. Ability to work flexible shifts, strong critical thinking skills, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Podiatric or surgical background preferred.
