Required Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Previous experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit is highly desirable Proficient with electronic health records and patient monitoring equipment Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication abilities Team-oriented approach with dedication to collaborative patient care
Key Responsibilities:
Care for patients transitioning from intensive care to standard medical-surgical floors Monitor vital signs, recognize and act on changes in patient status, and intervene as needed Administer medications, manage IVs, and support complex treatment plans Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Provide clear education and updates to patients and families regarding care and recovery Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner Ensure compliance with infection control practices and facility protocols
