Job Description

Registered Nurse - PRN Float A multisite outpatient medical group is seeking a flexible Registered Nurse to provide PRN clinical coverage across its practice locations. This role is ideal for an adaptable RN who enjoys variety and works well with different providers, specialties, and office teams.
Schedule:
PRN, based on coverage needs. Must be available at least one day per week and work at least one Monday and one Friday each month. Schedule is given 1 month in advance.
Travel:
Regular travel between assigned locations is required within the Charlotte region. Responsibilities Assess patients, obtain medical histories and vital signs, and document in the EHR Perform provider-ordered treatments and administer medications Start IVs, administer IV fluids, and monitor patient responses Educate patients on medications and acute or chronic condition management Complete medication refills, prior authorizations, forms, and electronic orders Triage patient calls and determine the appropriate level of care Direct patients to a provider, urgent care, or the emergency department when appropriate Respond to urgent walk-in concerns and assist with emergency procedures Support Medical Assistants and maintain efficient patient flow Adapt to the workflows of each assigned office Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license Current American Heart Association or client BLS certification ACLS certification if required for the assigned specialty At least one year of professional nursing experience; outpatient experience preferred Experience starting IVs and using an electronic health record system Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations Flexible, dependable, and comfortable working with different teams and personalities TB screening and required vaccination documentation or applicable declination forms must be completed. Candidates must also be able to remain active throughout the workday and lift or support up to 35 pounds.
Pay Rate:
$38-$48 an hour depending on experience #
