Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-Tele Job Type Travel Consider bringing your expertise as a Telemetry RN to Gastonia, NC, where charming Southern living meets a flourishing healthcare community. Schedule/Hours Rotating weekends:
every other No on-call requirements Holiday coverage: work 75% of major holidays Flexible scheduling cycles every six weeks Up to 6 days of requested time off (RTO), holidays excluded Key Qualifications Active RN license, unencumbered and eligible for North Carolina Minimum of 18 months' Med/Tele experience (Resource Team)Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Strong Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, care for stroke/cardiac patients, trach care, IV/PIV starts, chest tube care, NGT placement, management of drains/tubes (Dobhoff, PEG, Hemovac, JP, flexiseals, Foley), and cardiac medication administration Ability to float across regional facilities as assigned (flexibility required) Adaptable to fast-paced environments and evolving patient census Primary Responsibilities Deliver high-quality care to a diverse cardiac telemetry patient population (CHF, pulmonary edema, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, stroke, and more) Prep patients for cardiac diagnostics, including stress tests Maintain patient ratios in accordance with dynamic staffing (typ. 1:5-6, surge 1:7-8) Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, and interdisciplinary teams Document efficiently using Epic EMR and operate Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors Support rapid response needs and float effectively within the regional system Benefits & Travel Perks Tax-advantaged stipends tailored for travelers Premium compensation Comprehensive healthcare coverage and 401(k) Job security with established, reputable institutions Travel assistance and paid travel time between facilities during floating assignments Free parking and navy scrubs provided Take the next step in your nursing career while discovering all that North Carolina offers. to embark on a meaningful adventure—both professionally and personally!
