Category Nursing - RN-Tele Job Type Travel Nestled near the vibrant Charlotte metropolitan area, Gastonia, NC, offers a distinctive travel nursing experience that combines the charm of southern hospitality with access to exciting urban adventures. Working in this region is the key to enhancing your career: you'll have the chance to collaborate with healthcare professionals across several facilities and gain invaluable exposure to an array of patient populations, practices, and leadership styles that drive progressive, quality care. As a MedSurg/Telemetry RN on a resource float team, not only will you boost your clinical competency while working among accredited chest pain and stroke centers, but you'll also grow professionally through cross-unit floating and support from multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, respiratory therapists, and clinical specialists. Your contributions in varied settings will become key additions to your resume, reflecting adaptability and depth of experience.
Schedule/Hours:
Every other weekend rotation Holiday commitment: 75% of holidays during contract No on-call Up to 6 days off per contract (excluding holidays), with flexible schedulingQualifications:
Active RN license BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Tele RN experience (float/resource experience advantageous) Strong clinical skill set: stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps, medication titration (including cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products)Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality care to diverse MedSurg/Telemetry patient populations (renal failure, sickle cell, DM complications, behavioral health, and more) Effectively manage patient ratios per unit standards (typically 1:5-6, flexing during surges) Utilize EMR (Epic), Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors Float to additional units or facilities within the region, per organizational needs Demonstrate adaptability and teamwork while collaborating with support staff and leadershipBenefits and Perks:
