Qualifications:
Current and unencumbered RN license. Minimum of one year of experience in a Stepdown or progressive care unit. Proficiency in monitoring patients with complex, acute conditions. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication abilities. Flexibility and strong critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to Stepdown patients in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and respond rapidly to changes in condition. Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and interventions according to established protocols. Educate patients and families regarding care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records. Support a safe, healing environment and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
